Science Vortex of the Verde Valley
Organization Overview
The Science Vortex is a non-profit STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) education center located in Cottonwood, Arizona. Since opening our doors in 2019, we’ve become a regional hub for innovation, curiosity, and hands-on learning, igniting imaginations and building essential skills for the next generation of problem-solvers, creators, and leaders. Our mission is simple, but urgent: to bridge the opportunity gap in STEAM education for rural and under-served youth in the Verde Valley. Through engaging, interactive, and inclusive programming, we aim to cultivate not only scientific knowledge but also the creativity, resilience, and critical thinking necessary for success in the 21st century.
