Steps To Recovery Homes

Organization Overview
Our Wellness programs focus on all aspects of life, not just substance use disorders. We are passionate about helping others recover from all addictions while addressing other co-occurring disorders that can act as barriers to living a productive life. We have an example driven staff that empowers people to improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential.
A few of our services are outlined below:
Recovery Homes:
We have Clean, Safe, Structured State Recognized Recovery Homes for men that are willing to take action to address their substance use and other co-occurring disorders and embrace tools to gain and maintain long-term recovery. We focus on behavior modification and shifting of perceptions. 3 of our key principles are Responsibility, Accountability and Communication.
Transitional Homes:
To help provide a step down from our structured living environments. This allows for a safe place to live with more freedom to allow our clientele to reintegrate back slowly and successfully into society.
Outpatient Treatment Center:
We have an Outpatient Treatment Center "Konnect Wellness Center" that provides essential therapeutic services for clients in our Homes and the surrounding community. We strive to reduce labeling and stigmas. We are working on systems change to have more access to recovery, less waiting lists and more collaborative efforts with resources. We offer Outpatient Groups, Individual Therapy, Peer Support, Case Management, Skills Training, Job Development, Greif and Loss Groups, Trauma Therapy, ART Therapy, Holistic Approaches including Equine Therapy, Yoga, Meditation, Sound Healing, Kayaking and other Nature activities. We have a psychiatrist that is an Addictionologist to help guide our clientele to the best possible path of contentment.
Job Development Program:
Our Job Development program assists our clients in obtaining basic skills needed for employment, including certifications or credentials, soft skills, and hard skills. Our focus is to provide a safe workplace so they may ease back into the workforce without the stressors of a new work environment. We work in conjunction with their treatment schedules and goals. This allows them time to focus on their recovery and address core issues that can subconsciously lead to self-destruction. This program fosters a supportive environment that empowers the client to look towards a career that gives them purpose and meaning in their lives.
Resale Store:
We operate a Resale Store "Miracles Happen Resale Store" that provides some funding for our organization and is a focal point for the community to interact with staff and get involved if they choose. The store helps clients practice soft and hard job skills in conjunction with our Job Development Program. The store gives clients options for furniture and household items when they transition out of our program. In addition, we assist community individuals in need and donate to other surrounding non-profits.
Warehouse:
As part of our Resale Store, the Warehouse demonstrates job and career opportunities and provides a learning-based, safe place to practice soft and hard job skills. We provide a place where clients can be creative by repurposing and refurbishing furniture. We also conduct online sales, e-commerce, and marketing, with the opportunity for clients to learn these skills as well.
Events:
Our staff is active in local and regional organizations that address substance use and behavioral health issues and challenges. We have started an Educational Awareness Day on Mental Health and Addiction (Erase the Stigma). We hold multiple events each year, including sober concerts, fundraising galas, as well as community education and awareness days. These help our community to understand substance use and other co-occurring disorders and the resources available.
