Organization Overview

The Garden Of Life focuses on rebuilding ancestral connection through roots, building relationships with the land the animals and plants. Learning the ways of the Yavapai-Apache Nation ancestors through food, but also learning new ways agriculturally to grow food and support food sovereignty and sustainable ways of living.

Typical Volunteer Tasks

  • Building greenhouse, garden beds,trellis, & new foundations
  • Watering, Seeding, removing unwanted weeds, & transplanting
  • Loading/unloading soil and building new mounds
  • Working with compost
  • Harvesting
