Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition
is a community-based 501 (c) (3) nonprofit established in 1992 to solve the critical social issue of older adults living alone without family or friends to assist them with activities crucial to their independence so they can remain in their homes. We are committed to our mission to support and encourage older adults in their quest to age in place in their community of choice by enhancing their independence, promoting higher quality of life, and reducing barriers to happiness, making the Verde Valley an attractive and sustainable retirement destination.
Typical Volunteer Tasks
Call Center — matching volunteers with neighbor requests, providing information and referrals, and determining eligibility. Mobility Management — in-home assessments, explaining services and resources, transporting neighbors to medical appointments and grocery stores. Assistant Services — friendly visits and phone calls, email buddy, handy person assistance, business assistance, respite assistance, patient scribe, pet assistance, computer and smartphone coaching.
